Artist Statement. Exploro el cuerpo como instrumento para medir el espacio y el tiempo, para componer y trazar mapas personales que permitan la exploración del entorno y sus efectos sobre el ser. Mi cuerpo cambia a medida que se mueve, se detiene y observa cómo el entorno lo modifica. Me valgo de los recuerdos y el pasado reciente como catalizadores para impulsar mi movimiento en el presente.
Me interesa desdibujar los límites del espacio físico y geográfico a partir de sus propios elementos, para reescribir sobre él y crear un panorama sin tiempo y sin distancias, sujeto a las emociones y al constante intercambio entre mi cuerpo y el presente.
Artist Statement. I explore the body as an instrument to measure space and time, to compose and draw personal maps that allow the exploration of the environment and its effects on the self. My body changes as it moves, stops and observes how the surroundings modify it. I use memories and the recent past as catalysts to push my movement in the present.
I am interested in blurring the limits of physical and geographical space from its own elements, to rewrite on it and create a time-less and distance-less space, subject to emotions and the constant interaction between my body and the present.
